First of all, thank you all for the wonderful emails, comments, tweets, FB posts, and reviews that you’ve done and sent to me about Wedding Bells, Magic Spells! I’ve tried to reply to all of them, but rest assured that I have read them all. I have the best fans, period!

Here’s a great review of Wedding Bells from Kate over at All Things Urban Fantasy. Thank you so much , Kate!

For as long as I can remember (and especially for the past year), I’ve working 12-14 hours a day between my day job and writing. I’m now finishing the fourth SPI Files book The Ghoul Vendetta. It’s due to my publisher on April 1 (five weeks from today).  My days (and nights) consist of work, write, eat, sleep. People ask what my favorite TV show is. I don’t really have one, because our TV rarely gets turned on. No time to watch. I’ve gotten our Christmas trees undecorated, but they’re still in the living room.  We’re going to get them put in the attic tonight. Really.

Which leads up to some big news — not for you guys, but for me. In the next few weeks, I’ll finally be quitting my day job. The advertising agency I’ve worked for over the past 16 years is growing by leaps and bounds — and the proofing/editing workload has multiplied along with it. Two days ago, I spoke with their CFO. They need someone in that position full-time, and wanted to be sure I didn’t want the job before they posted it. I did not take the job, wished them the very best, and told them to take their time finding just the right person, and that I would continue to take good care of them until then. I couldn’t have asked for a better and more talented group of people to work for and with. Long story short, as soon as they find a full-time proofreader/editor, I’ll become a full-time author — and get some of my life back, and maybe even be able to watch TV. Who knows, next year I might even get my Christmas trees down in early January. ; )

I am so glad that you are finally able to write full time. A little less stress for you and might I say a little more joy for me (us). I honestly don’t know how you are able to keep a “job”, have a life and write too. I am very happy that you have done so, but happy that you are able to devote your work time to writing full time. Happy for you (and me.

That sounds wonderful, Lisa! Nice to know that you were wanted, but also nice to know that you don’t HAVE to take the job, but can instead do what you love.

I’ve been fighting with some coding problems this last week, so I haven’t gotten to do a review for WBMS yet, but rest assured that it was fantastic 🙂 Michael’s mother is particularly kick-ass!
